What couples say about Hanoi

Real Google reviews that mention anniversaries, proposals, honeymoons, and date nights — not invented testimonials.

My Khmer friend and I spent an evening exploring Ta Hien Beer Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and it was such a fun experience. The street is full of life. There were small plastic stools, bright neon signs, cold beer, and the smell of street food everywhere. We walked around the area and tried some local dishes. At night, the whole street fills up with locals and tourists all drinking and laughing together. It felt very real and very Hanoi. If you want to visit, just grab a small stool, order a Bia Hà Nội, and enjoy the energy around you. Highly recommend!

Cloud Sky Bar was an absolute highlight of our time in Hanoi. The views are unreal—especially at sunset—overlooking the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, giving you that perfect skyline vibe. But what really surprised us was the food. It wasn’t just “good for a rooftop,” it was genuinely fantastic—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and easily on par with some of the best meals we’ve had on this trip. The atmosphere is stylish without feeling pretentious, and the service was friendly and attentive the entire time. Whether you’re going for drinks, dinner, or both, this place absolutely delivers. Highly recommend grabbing a table around sunset—you won’t regret it.

Great rooftop bar in the center of Hanoi! I came at sunset without a reservation and enjoyed a mojito and some Vietnamese pancakes. Iris was so sweet and the service was excellent. Would recommend!

We had dinner here on Christmas day and it was warm enough to sit outside. The view from the terrace is great. We both ordered vegetarian meals and I enjoyed mine I think better than my partner did hers! It was very flavourful. More expensive than other places in Hanoi but still very good. Staff were really helpful and friendly, all spoke very good English, really welcoming without being pushy. Would recommend.

Sweet skybar at our hotel with a stunning violet of Hanoi at Sunset. We came up for a drink, stayed for 2 (or was it 3?). Tang was an excellent server who even offered to take our photo without us asking - which was super nice: it was a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. Worth stoping by for a drink.

Visited the Lotte Sky Observation Deck on a weekend. Pro tip: just book via Klook, It’s cheaper lol. We arrived around lunch time so surprisingly not that crowded. It actually rained before we got there, but the view was still nice. Though honestly, I feel like this place would hit more during sunset or at night. We got the ticket with a free drink, you can choose from beer, iced coffee, wintermelon tea, honey tea, ice cream, etc (forgot the rest 😅). Nice little add-on. They also have hanbok rental, plus some cute souvenirs. There’s also a VR game if you’re into that, kinda fun since you’re already in a super high building, might as well go all in I’ve been to a lot of observation decks already so nothing super wow or unique here, but still worth checking out if you’re in Hanoi. Especially if you’re already around the area doing a grocery run at Lotte Mart lol. Overall it was a chill experience. Not mind-blowing, but relaxing, clean, and a nice break from the busy streets. Good for a quick stop, take some pics, enjoy the view, then go on with your day 👍
