A beautiful park that is worth visiting if you’re around the Forbidden City. There are beautiful walks, plenty of historic buildings to explore — and you can boat on the lake. Entry was very cheap (10 CNY) and was worth every penny. It’s very well kept, and there are cafes and lots of facilities too.

super lucky to catch the cherry blossoms here 🌸 There’s even a cool newspaper-style photo booth (you can get digital copies too). skipped the temple route ticket and climbed up from the side to the White Pagoda instead — still worth it. shops and food stalls close early (around 6pm), so come earlier if you want to explore properly!
