★★★★★5 months agoAmazing experience. I visited it on national holiday which was free for public. It was my second time and still enjoyed alot, full of lovely classic and modern paints. Show the art in difference eras of Hungary and the history, You can follow the history from the beginning step by step room by room which written on each entrance, u will reach communist era which is my favorite and u can feel living back then, full of posters and advertisement related to that time. In general totally worth it.

★★★★★2 years agoPretty little garden surrounding the National Museum. There are some benches as you walk around, a little play area for children, and some statues with historical information outside. There is also museum related information outside the steps to the museum on posters etc., if there's an exhibition going on and they want to provide more information. For example, when I went start of November, there were some samples of the World Press Photos outside, with some information.
