★★★★★5 months agoGorgeous ruined chapel in Holyrood Park, with views over the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Calton Hill, Leith and the Firth of Forth. Access is via a small, easy to find path which may require good footwear if it's been raining recently, but it's a fairly easy climb. Late afternoon light and sunsets are very pretty, and the ruins themselves are interesting. I would wholeheartedly recommend this as a shorter walk than the full climb to Arthur's Seat summit, or as a stop along the way.
