It’s very tiny from outside and surprisingly big inside the building. The museum tells a lovely story of Edinburg and is well equipped. The museum is for free, and is being run by donations :)

Great free museum spread over several floors, rooms and wings of connected older buildings of Canongate. A fascinating intro to the city, its places and all the personalities which shaped it's history. Plus the only museum where I ever saw wooden water pipes!
