★★★★★4 months agoFamily friendly museum and felt very informative. We visited on a day where we were alone in the majority of the exhibits. Hopefully it’s busier as it’s a little gem. Lots of interactive bits for kids and plenty of fun bits for adults too. Included in the Citypass and made this great value.

★★★★★10 months agoLOVED this museum. The installations are absolutely stellar in immersing you in the history and development of Ghent over centuries. Not only are the installations spectacular, the wall text and the visual/video aids provide comprehensive, engaging, easy to follow details. On top of that the museum itself, was renovated in 2010 to combine three eras worth of architecture: a 14th-century abbey, a 17th-century convent, and a modern 21st-century add-on.
