★★★★★2 months agoThe Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte is an museum built directly into the hills of Granada's historic Gitano (Gypsy) quarter. It preserves 11 original cave dwellings to showcase the history, lifestyle, traditional crafts, and flamenco roots of the community that settled here in the 16th century. The caves show living quarters, to kitchens, stables and even a forge. There is also a cafe there where you can have an ice cold beer after the climb up (quite steep but worth it) Special shout out to the absolutely lovely staff there who were most helpful and extremely friendly. At €6 for entry its well worth it.

★★★★★4 months agoWas very curioua about this museum and it didn't disappoint. It is a nice area above Granada, on the hills where are all the famous flamenco bars. It gets you thorought the flamenco history, every house presents the old way of living, in houses digges into the mountain by men. They had stables, workshops, livable spaces with kitchen and others. It is really nice to find out about this culture history, see how they lived. Totally worth the money for the ticket.
