★★★★★9 months agoSpent a fascinating afternoon here, learning a perspective not taught in western schools; at least, not when I was at school. Had planned to do this museum, and the National Museum of History, but was here for well over 2 hours, so just didn’t have time for the other. Confusingly, I think both museums have been renamed as National Museum of Vietnamese History, but remain on different sites. Entry was VND 40k, but I note that my entrance ticket shows only 20k. Not sure what happened to the other 20k 🤷♂️

★★★★★5 months agoFebruary 2026 - Entry ticket 40k (cash) Very interesting museum to learn about Vietnamese history and especially the creation of the communist party, revolution, the fights against French colonialists as well as the Japanese and the rise of Ho Chi Minh. One part of the museum (main floor) was closed for renovation so 1h was enough to explore the 1st floor. A few original artefacts are exposed and many pictures, newspaper and flags. The meditation is not optimal and having audio-guide would be a big asset to be better understand this crucial area.
