I found this museum to be very moving and interesting, detailing the central role women play in traditional culture and ceremony, family and rural life and also their key roles politically and during war time. The audio guide was awesome and I loved taking my time looking through the exhibitions. The textiles (of which there are many featured) were my favourite. Their intricacies are so mesmerising!

I went to this museum twice because I was so impressed with the female hero’s whose determination and resilience helped to shape modern day Vietnam. In parts it brought a tear to my eye and in others I enjoyed the changing fashions in the different regions. The museum showcases what it was like to be a woman during troubled times and I came away in awe of them. It’s worth around a 2 hour visit and easy located near Hoan Kiem. Recommended!
