★★★★★2 months agoThe museum is well organized in an intuitive way, with plenty of explanations and background material for all levels of interest. I liked especially the highlights - the Bee pendant of Malia, Phaistos disk and especially room XIII with the Knossos frescoes. Highly recommended.

★★★★★2 months agoA beautiful museum, organized thoughtfully and thoroughly. If you're a fan of Cretean history, like myself, the experience is highly detailed and rich. If you're new to Cretean history, there is so much to discover and enjoy - you should plan at least a couple of hours to absorb and take everything in! It was so special to see IN PERSON frescoes and ceramics and jewelry I had grown up seeing and reading about in Cretean history books as a child. Wow. I would definitely recommend this museum! There is also a lovely cafe with a view and a gift shop with beautiful items and keepsakes.
