Upon walking into The garden you are transported into a mix of modern accents and finishes mixed in with the structure and beauty of ancient Crete. I ordered the California rolls, bao, the beef skewers and a spicy paloma. Everything exceeded my expectations! The best Asian fusion restaurant in Heraklion After our meal the owner Mike came over and introduce himself to myself and my husband he was incredibly kind If you get the chance check out “The Garden” I promise you will not regret it.

Probably one of the best restaurants we have eaten at on our European trip. My wife cant have glutennor dairy. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and assited her with selcting a dish. Btw there are many that can be gf and df. We staryed with their award winning olive oil/bread (not gf) and crab appetizer. The waiter explained their olive oil and also their farm to table and table to farm practices. My wife had the Kreokakavos and I had the Local Lamb. Both were amazing!! Very tender and delicious. They also provided a free dessert for both of us. My wife was given sour cherries that were really good. The prices for the meal were very good. Maybe 88 euros and that included 2 glasses of wine and superb service!!

Highly recommend!!!! Fresh material and great cuisine. Gastronomic level of presentation and taste. We wanted to try everything on the menu, unfortunately the stomach limits us. However all the dishes we ordered were just amazing!!!!! I’d suggest to go this restaurant with several people together and share the dishes as tapas.

The food was creative and delicious. The tomato cucumber salad was amazing amazing with olives, capers, croutons, parsley, and mint. My pork was tender with very creative sauce. My husband’s calamari did not look as good as it taste. It was delicious and crispy.

My husband and I recently had dinner at Merastri. We had spent 13 days in Greece hopping around the islands. This was one of our favorite meals. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was awesome. They could not have been more accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would go again if we go back to Crete.

We came here for our last dinner in Heraklion and it did not disappoint. We got some sort of beef tenderloin dish that was for two people (which definitely was enough) that was listed on the dishes of the day. Though we waited a bit for the dish to come, it was worth the wait. The beef was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth with every bite. The vegetables that came along with it were also delicious and accompanied the meat incredibly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, as we sat in the outdoor area towards the back that faced the sunset and dark mountains of heraklion. Seeing the open kitchen as you enter the restaurant was very cool as well!! Great experience!!
