Cretaquarium is a nice place to visit if you want something different from beaches and old towns on Crete. The aquarium is clean, well organized, and easy to walk through. There are many interesting sea animals, especially fish from the Mediterranean, and everything feels calm and educational. It is a good choice for families, but also for adults if you like this type of visit. I would not say it is huge, so don’t expect to spend half a day there, but the experience is pleasant and worth it if you are nearby. A good stop, especially during a hot day.

Went here on the ofchance (didn't book in just turned up). Very reasonably priced (offer discounts to students even if you're from another country), lots to look at. It was honestly a calm, peaceful and beautiful journey. Very well organized and not overcrowded. Would highly recommend making a visit if you're going to Crete!
