★★★★★4 months agoWe walked by and stopped on a whim. We really enjoyed ourselves visit and learned a lot about the tumultuous Portuguese political history over the past 100 years. Well worth the 4 euro price of admission!

★★★★★4 months agoThis is an essential visit for anyone who wants to understand the history of Portugal and its colonies over the last 150 years and more. Many exhibits and videos on four floors provide an extensive review of the politics and upheavals that these areas experienced. At least 2 hours is required to fully absorb the entire museum although it is easy to capture an overview with a quicker tour. There are also areas with temporary exhibits that change regularly which are very informative and worth subsequent visits.
