★★★★★5 months agoMy new favourite place on Earth; great movie screenings, including some projected in film! Very affordable, too. The bookstore is the perfect place to get lost in, with works in many different languages as well as offering music, films, and posters besides just books. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, can't recommend it enough!

★★★★★Edited 4 months agoAs students of film heritage, we had access to not just the cinemas and the museum but the documentation centre as well. Cinemateca Portuguesa is the state institution responsible for preserving and protecting film heritage of Portugal and beyond. It also boasts of a rooftop restaurant and a curated book and antique media shop. It’s worth visiting!
