★★★★★2 years agoA peaceful garden in the heart of the city that contains many interesting and poignant statues, plaques and other historic items. Of particular interest is the World War Two Blitz statue commemorating the civilian lives lost during the German bombing campaign on Liverpool in World War Two. There are also interesting displays of Liverpool servicemen who have won Victoria Crosses (VC), a Battle of The Atlantic War Memorial and a plaque commorating " The 2800 Fallen" of "The Liverpool Pals" Battalion in World War One. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you want some peace and quiet or you have an interest in World Wars One and Two.
