One of the best viewpoints in Lyon. From Fourvière Hill, you get a stunning panoramic view of the city, with the Rhône and Saône rivers cutting through the old town and the modern skyline in the distance. I came here both at sunrise and sunset, and the views were equally impressive. In the morning, the soft golden light slowly reveals the city, while in the evening, the sky turns warm and vibrant before fading into beautiful purple tones as the city lights come on. It’s a peaceful spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. Getting here requires a bit of uphill walking, but it’s definitely worth it. Try to visit early in the morning or around sunset for the best experience.

A beautiful, picturesque, and important place for both city residents and visitors. Lyon's answer to Notre Dame in Paris and Marseille. It offers a magnificent view of the entire city, especially at night. You can also take the funicular up there, which is also a local landmark. Unfortunately, the cathedral is still undergoing restoration, so not all its beautiful sides are visible.
