A great place to learn about Judaism, the Jewish people and its traditions. While the exhibition itself seems to be quite small, it took me the better part of a morning to go through the different videos and display cases that make it up. You can access a wealth of information on the different Jewish holidays, their origins and meaning, as well as on several key objects in Jewish day-to-day life. The videos themselves are very well put together, as they are both enriching and engaging. Also, don't forget - I almost did - that after the main exhibition, there is a secondary room where you can see what Sabbath (in France) looks like using a VR set! I found it to be a fun and clever way of introducing someone who is not Jewish into a very important element of Jewish religious life.

Amazing place to visit in Lyon! I had the honor to visit the institute this morning and it turned out the best experience of learning the new culture for me as a Buddhist from Taiwan, it has opened my eyes to their history and ritual, every celebrations which are so inspiring to me. Thank again the staff Doff( I hope I spelled it right), he has welcomed me with his enthusiasm and kindness. I would highly recommend for people who’s curious about the judaism community and hopefully we accept other cultures with open mind and no prejudice, better understanding is always the key to the world.
