If you're visiting the Fourvière Cathedral in Lyon, I highly recommend taking a short 5-minute walk to the Odéon de Lyon. One of the best parts about this ancient Roman theatre is that you don’t need to buy a ticket to explore it. Also, it is a serene place where you can take in the beauty of the ancient architecture and imagine what life was like in Roman times.

Was there early, lesser crowds. More crowds flooded the place around 11am onwards. The place was beautiful. You can walk up a slope for 30mins from the city centre or take the public transport.
