Went there expecting to pay but got free entrance surprisingly ! It's a very educative place to learn more about the origins of Lyon and its rich roman heritage. We get to see reel pieces of roman ruins describing the importance of the city back in that time. The museum architecute itself is a real wonderful piece of engineering and is worth a detour if you have interest in architecture.

Excellent exhibition in a fabulous building, built into the hillside. Visitors flow easily, gradually downward. (Even if you’re not interested in the subject matter, the building design is worth seeing!) Many, but not all, signs provide English as well as French. Two large windows overlook the theatre ruins outside. There are even some comfortable chairs to rest in along the way. There are some interactive displays and a children’s area. It’s the museum’s 50th anniversary. A very well done museum.
