Fascinating to learn about some local history. An introduction before you go in and then the freedom to wander through the open tunnels. Reading the information boards and imagining what life must have been like down there; waiting, sitting around or sleeping. Maybe doing voluntary work: ARP Warden or WVS women making food for people in there. I would describe like a cave walk, but not an ordinary in the wilderness one. I spent around 45 minutes there. If you're local, or just visiting the area, it's worth having a look.

Amazing place to experience what being in the air raid shelters would be like, great place to bring the children 😀 and explore at your own pace. Guided tours are available but you can explore on your own - interactive history at it's best xx
