Khairul Huda Khan
β β β β β a month agoI attended a meeting with MP Nesil Caliskan, Minister of State for Devolution, Faith and Communities, organised by the British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC). The event provided a valuable opportunity for faith leaders and community representatives to engage directly with government on issues affecting Muslim communities. A number of important concerns were raised, including the increase in Islamophobia, racial attacks, hate crimes, and the impact these incidents are having on individuals and communities. Faith leaders emphasised the need for continued efforts to promote social cohesion, tackle discrimination, and ensure that all communities feel safe and respected. There was also discussion about the security of mosques and community centres, with participants highlighting the importance of making security grants more accessible so that places of worship can better protect their congregations and facilities. The meeting allowed for constructive dialogue and the sharing of practical recommendations. The event was well organised by the British Muslim Heritage Centre and demonstrated the value of bringing together faith leaders, community organisations, and government representatives to address shared challenges and strengthen community relations. This version reads well as a meeting summary, LinkedIn post, or community update.

β β β β β 9 months agoBeautiful architecture, Iβve been to the marquee many times but it was my first visit to the heritage centre for a meeting. Itβs very well kept, clean and the toilet facilities were immaculate! I was impressed with the digital screens with information on them about science and how it relates to Islamic scripture. The grounds and surrounding gardens were well kept and the autumn vibes gave the building a beautiful atmosphere and view. Staff at reception were friendly. I look forward to visiting again
