Angel Meadow in Salford is a small green space with a very poignant history. Once known as one of the most overcrowded and impoverished areas in Victorian England, thousands of people lived in desperate conditions here, and it was also the site of a large burial ground. Walking through today it feels peaceful, but knowing the stories of the people who once lived and died here gives the place a real sense of reflection. The information boards help explain the area’s past and make it worth taking a moment to pause and appreciate how much the city has changed. A thoughtful and important historical spot.

Lovely little park. Was there in 2018, to take part in Manchester Walk It to spread Awareness about Crohn's Disease and Colitis as well as fundraise for Crohn's and Colitis UK.
