Wonderful place for musical presentations! Even at the cheapest place the sound was perfect and the view was very good. The only problem is that you have to pay to store your jacket or bag. The Munich Philarmonic was wonderful!

Anything you can think of in terms of art or culture you will find at the Gasteig, from a library to photo and art exhibitions to music and theater. It also hosts a "Volkshochschule", a school of adults with lots of interesting courses. Apart from that it is a great place to hand out: it is interesting architecturally, it offers free WiFi, electrical sockets for charging your phone, free washrooms, a place to sit down and relax during your exploration of the city. It is located in the part of Munich that has been well-preserved, with architecture from early 19 to early 20 centuries. For example, right next to it is a curiosity - 19-century public toilet ("pissoir").
