Fonation Cartier pour l'art contemporain is an incredible gallery for contemporary art. The building itself is incredible with movable floors/ structures to accommodate a wide range of exhibits. The exhibition is well thought out and curated. There was a queue of about 15 minutes to enter on a Saturday evening but overall didn't feel that busy inside. Great to escape the larger crowds elsewhere. Entry is free which incredible for the amount and quality of art on display. They are open later at the weekends which makes the gallery a great evening activity. I will definitely visit again when I am back in Paris.

This new location is an interesting space conceived by Jean Nouvel and consists of a series of platforms that can be moved up or down to best fit the art. Much bigger than the old space but personnaly I miss the natural light and the garden ! The temporary exhibitions are very well curated and often the best shows I have seen anywhere. Definitely a must see if you are into contemporary art or architecture.
