I was truly impressed by the Church of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria in Pisa. While most visitors come for the Leaning Tower, this church turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The architecture is stunning, with a fascinating mix of Romanesque and Gothic elements, beautiful stained-glass windows, and incredible details everywhere you look. What fascinated me most was learning that Saint Thomas Aquinas once taught here. Standing in a place connected to such an important philosopher and theologian made the visit feel even more special. The church has a unique atmosphere where history, art, and spirituality come together. Definitely worth a visit if you want to discover a different side of Pisa beyond its most famous landmark.

The Church of Saint Catherine is a giant, beautiful building made of pretty white and grey stone that looks like stripes! When you walk inside, it feels very peaceful and looks much bigger than it does in pictures. There are colorful windows that let the sunlight in and very old statues of knights and important people from a long time ago. It is an amazing place to see how people built giant, strong churches hundreds of years ago using only stone and art.
