    Die Eisenbahnbrücke zwischen Freilassing und Salzburg verbindet Deutschland (Bayern) mit Österreich und stammt aus dem Jahr 1859. Seit 1860 ist sie in Betrieb und steht heute unter Denkmalschutz. Sie gehört zu etwa 60 % Österreich und zu 40 % Deutschland und wurde vor einigen Jahren um ein drittes Gleis erweitert, um die Strecke zu entlasten. Die Brücke selbst ist ausschließlich dem Bahnverkehr vorbehalten und nicht zugänglich. Einen besonders guten Blick hat man vom Fußgängerübergang beim Saalachkraftwerk, etwa 100–200 Meter flussabwärts. Von dort ist sie ein beliebtes Fotomotiv – vor allem, wenn ein Zug die Brücke überquert. Entlang beider Ufer der Saalach verlaufen Fuß- und Radwege, die unter der Brücke hindurchführen. Kein klassischer Ausflugsort, aber ein interessanter Punkt für Eisenbahnfreunde, Technikinteressierte und Fotografen.
