This is probably one of the most complete and amazing Roman ruins inside or outside of Italy. The added fact that it has been used as a concert venue since the 1930s to keep the tradition alive, goes above and beyond. This is a must see. I recommend buying tickets online or from another Roman ruin location as this one can occasionally get pretty backed up by those purchasing tickets to see it. As of April 2026, it cost us about 32 euro for two adults (our two kids were free) to access every site. This is worth it just to see the amphitheater, let alone everything else in the city.

Just a short taxi ride from Sevilla, Italica is a quick retreat into the countryside to explore the 2nd-century AD Roman Amphitheater. It was built under Emperor Hadrian. In mid- February the temperature was warm and dry so recommend bringing water. It was a relaxing area to see a Roman Amphitheater without crowds. Since the area experienced significant rainfall in previous weeks, the surrounding grounds were not open at the time to explore.
