The structures themselves have a bit of history, but they have been transformed into galleries, shops, and exhibition spaces. It gives the place a unique character that feels different from typical parks or malls. As I walked around, there was always something happening. Some areas had small exhibitions, others had pop up shops or design stores, and then there were open spaces where people just sat and relaxed. It feels like a place where you can explore at your own pace and discover things along the way rather than following a set path. I also liked how open the environment is. There are trees, benches, and quiet corners, so even when there are quite a few people, it still feels comfortable. It is a good spot to take a break from the more crowded parts of the city. Depending on when you visit, there might be events or markets going on, which adds a bit of variety each time.   “I went up to Xiangshan Park and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding spots I visited in Taipei. It is a great place if you want a mix of nature and city views without having to travel too far. The hike itself is not too long, but it can be a bit steep in certain sections, especially with the stairs. It is manageable for most people, but you will definitely feel it by the time you reach the top. Along the way, there are a few resting points, which makes it easier to take breaks and enjoy the surroundings. What really makes it worth it is the view at the top. You get a clear look over the city, and on a good day, the skyline looks amazing. Seeing Taipei 101 from this angle is especially impressive, and it is a popular spot for photos, particularly around sunset. The atmosphere feels quite peaceful compared to the busy city below. Even though there are other visitors, it still feels like a nice escape where you can slow down and take in the scenery. Early morning or late afternoon would probably be the best times to go if you want a more comfortable experience. One thing to keep in mind is to bring water and wear proper shoes, as the path can be a bit tiring if you are not prepared. Overall, I think this is a must visit if you enjoy a short hike with a great payoff.   “I visited Rongxing Garden (榮星花園公園) early one morning, hoping to enjoy a quiet walk before the heat set in—but even just after sunrise, the park was full of life. People were ballroom dancing, practicing tai chi, stretching, chatting, and simply enjoying the morning air. It felt like the whole neighborhood had gathered to start their day together. The park itself is large and beautifully maintained, with plenty of open space and shaded areas that make it pleasant to explore. Even with so many people around, it never felt crowded—just lively and welcoming. I didn’t take many photos because there were people everywhere, but that alone says a lot about the atmosphere here. It’s a wonderful place to experience local daily life and feel part of the community, even as a visitor. A beautiful, peaceful spot that’s worth waking up early for.”

  “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall – 5-Star Review Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is one of the most iconic landmarks in Taipei and a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, culture, and architecture. During my visit, I experienced both sunshine and rain, and surprisingly, the changing weather made the entire place even more breathtaking. The dramatic clouds above the blue-roofed memorial, combined with the rain-soaked stone plaza, created an unforgettable scene that looked like a painting. The architecture is truly magnificent. The grand white building stands proudly at the center of a vast open square, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, traditional Chinese-style gates, the National Theater, and the National Concert Hall. Every detail, from the elegant red columns to the intricate roof decorations, reflects Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage. Every corner offers an incredible photo opportunity, making this a paradise for photography lovers. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the entire complex is. Despite being one of Taipei’s busiest attractions, the grounds felt peaceful and relaxing. Walking through the spacious plaza gave me plenty of time to admire the beauty of the surroundings and appreciate the historical significance of this remarkable place. Getting here is very convenient, as the memorial is directly accessible by Taipei MRT. Whether you are traveling alone, with family, or with friends, this landmark deserves a place on your itinerary. If possible, visit during different weather conditions—the atmosphere changes completely, and each visit offers a unique perspective. For me, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is much more than a famous tourist attraction. It is a place where history, art, culture, and modern Taipei come together in perfect harmony.
