★★★★★3 months agoSuperb experience watching the ceremonial firing of! the cannons. This is a must-do in Valetta. The hosts provide a very interesting demonstration of how the cannons work as well as the history behind it. I would recommend arriving at least 30 mins before the firing of the cannons, which take place at 12:00/16:00 daily to enjoy the complementary demonstration and guidance. After your visit, be sure to check out the upper barakka gardens which hold beautiful panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding area.

★★★★★3 months agoWhat a show! Everyday day at different intervals you can witness this saluting canon fire. I was fortunate to witness one at the 12 noon show. If you are to witness one of these shows you gotta come little early as it may get crowded during the peak season. Best location to view this show is from the balcony of Upper Barrakka Garden. Highly recommended.
