★★★★★3 months agoSan Lorenzo church is a beautiful little church in comparison to San Zeno & San Anastasia in Porta Bosari. It is so worth the visit. It’s privately tucked away behind a laundromat and you may miss it! Please visit it but be quiet & respectful when you do!
Gabriele Guidoni
★★★★★7 years agoEntering the cloister of the 12th century San Lorenzo from Corso Cavour you’ll be on the right wing of this High Medieval church. Its Romanesque style architecture body alternating bricks and stones differs from the unique facade, well hidden on the left by one of the two imposing Norman style towers. The main altarpiece depicts a Madonna and child with Saints by Domenico Brusasorci (1566). Unexplained Symbolism of Columns capitals with Eagles keeping preys in their claws.
