★★★★★2 years agoA very extensive and well put together museum! It was an incredible visit, marked by lengthy and detailed collections of all sorts of weapons, with exhibitions focused on the Second Sino-Japanese War and Civil War period. The vast amount of guns on display, including many rarities is something that anyone passionate about military history and the history of China would appreciate. The exhibits also help in introducing and understanding Chinese culture and modern history, as the focus of the museum is the very events which have made the China of today. Do take time when visiting as it is a very large museum. Booking is as, as of time of writing, limited to online (no walk ins) and reservations must be made. I recommend utilising WeChat and finding sellers who pre book the tickets and can guarantee you a slot. Definitely a highlight of Beijing, do not miss it!

★★★★★2 years agoWorth to visit if you’re in Beijing. Entrance ticket is free but you need to book your tickets online in WeChat. Definitely worth the trouble if you into military stuffs. Came at 10am and left at 2pm. It’s huge and if you really read up all the display notes you won’t finished the whole exhibition before they close. Liked the basement level where they exhibit the artillery and armor. Mostly from WW2 and the Korean War. Well maintained.
