★★★★★a year agoThe windmill is super cool, especially for kids. It’s very small but it totally works as a proper windmill, and the people working there show how flour was made, and they still make it! Definitely worth paying a visit

★★★★★a year agoOne of the 4 beautiful windmills of Bruges, the Sint Janshuismolen is the only one where grains are ground to this day! Established in 1770, it was associated with an important economic function. Visually captivating, with serenity all around. After paying a nominal admission fee, one can see the mill in action (provided the winds are favourable). The thrill of climbing up the steep stairs, and experiencing the sway of the structure when the winds are strong and the blades are rotating is absolutely awesome. The millers are kind and professional. It's another educating experience to watch them setting up the machinery (just before the opening time). A must must visit for sure!
