Fisherman’s Bastion is an absolutely charming landmark with plenty to see in one place. The panoramic view over Budapest and the Parliament is breathtaking and truly unmissable. During summer, it’s best to plan a visit before sunset to avoid the intense midday heat and to enjoy the softer evening light. One downside is the lack of public restrooms. The only available WC is inside a restaurant and costs €1 per use. Note: visit light and wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as the stairs leading up to the Bastion are long . Visitors with knee or mobility issues may find the climb challenging, so it’s advisable to join a guided tour that includes transport or take a taxi directly to the site.
