A truly magical place. The Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh is peaceful, beautiful, and full of life. The gardens are perfectly kept, with stunning plants, wide paths, and so many quiet corners to explore. What made the visit extra special were the squirrels. They were everywhere—curious, playful, and completely fearless. My son was absolutely amazed. Watching his excitement as the squirrels ran past us and climbed the trees made the visit unforgettable. This is a perfect place to slow down, connect with nature, and see a child experience pure joy and wonder. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone who needs a calm and inspiring break in the city.

I've always enjoyed the Botanic gardens in day light but by night it is extra special. The light shows and accompanying music are mystical and create an amazing atmosphere. The shop was open and packed with lovely gifts and festive ornaments. Hot drinks and food available too. A great experience for all the family.
