★★★★★7 months agostunning and deeply impressive collection of sculpture and decorative arts, among them beguiling and sensual capolavori from Donatello, Michelangelo, Giambologna, Cellini, Vercocchio, della Robbia and many others, all housed in a stunning ancient palazzo and former prison. Typical of Florence to overwhelm you with a vast array of masterpieces, you’ll need at least two hours to give it a worthwhile go, hardcore art lovers could probably spend half a day here. Moody at night too. The Donatellos were the highlight for me.

★★★★★3 months agoSuper interesting and no crowds. We came late afternoon on a Saturday and basically had the museum to ourselves. Many interesting exhibits ranging from sculptures, porcelain, and art to cannons and guns. We are normally not super into museums but found this very interesting and ended up spending 90 minutes here. Highly recommendable.
