Looks beautiful from the outiside. Unfortunately we did not have time to visit the interior. This Basilica is located just next to Cappelle Medicee so if you're doing both, do them together.

Great viewpoint at sunset. Just don't fall for the scammers with the dice and cup game saw many tourists lured in on hopes of foolish wins

This is a hidden gem that should be enjoyed by all who pass by Firenze. This is the rooftop of the Palace Machiavelli hotel, sister to Atlantic Palace. No words to describe the vibe and amazing views and sunset from the rooftop. Each day has a different theme music from jazz to good old pop, it's just in keeping with the place. The service is excellent and the waiters are attentive and patient. They have a light menu in case you're hungry. The drinks come with the regular nuts and chips/crisps. Highly recommended!

My partner and I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough, the food, the staff (Leandra) and the vibes are amazing! For starters, I had the ‘Tomato stuffed with burrata cheese, basil pesto and chopped pistachios’. The tomato was the largest I’d ever encountered, the burrata was so soft and creamy, the basil pesto was delicious, and the pistachios added a textural contrast to an otherwise soft dish. My partner had the ‘Traditional tomato bruschetta’, which she says was delicious, with the tomatoes tasting really fresh and the bread having a nice crunch. For mains, I had the ‘Heart of Chianina fillet in Bolgheri reduction with mashed potatoes’. This was my first time trying beef heart, and I will certainly be trying it again if it’s anything like this. I had it cooked ‘blue’ and, whilst it was a little harder to cut, it was certainly not hard to chew. The meat was nice and tender, and the accompaniment of the mash & reduction made this a truly fantastic dish. My partner had the ‘Tagliolini with Bolognese ragù’ which she described as really flavourful, with a good-sized portion, and the meat was really soft & succulent. The pricing for the dishes were very reasonable, especially for a place a stones throw away from Florences Duomo.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal and experience at La Tenda Rossa! Me and my husband stumbled upon this restaurant on honeymoon and were kindly cared for by our server, Gemma, throughout our meal. Gemma gave us excellent recommendations for our florentine steak (the best steak we may have ever had) and made our entire experience feel very special and authentic. We were highly impressed and would love to come back again some day, thank you again Gemma and the rest of the team!
