Visited the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees (Liurong Temple) and really enjoyed it! This Buddhist temple has such a long history, built in AD 537. The atmosphere is super tranquil and peaceful, a nice escape from the busy city. One of the highlights is definitely the massive bronze statue of Buddha, said to be the largest in Guangdong, weighing around 10 tons and dating back to the Qing dynasty. It’s incredibly impressive up close. Overall, it’s a beautiful, serene spot with a lot of history and calm energy — definitely worth a visit.

Temple of the Six Banyan Trees is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Guangzhou and a very peaceful place to visit. Despite being located in the busy city center, the temple grounds feel calm and spiritual. The highlight of the temple is the beautiful Flower Pagoda, a tall and elegant structure that immediately catches your attention. Its unique octagonal design and bright colors make it one of the most recognizable landmarks in the area. The temple itself is well maintained, with traditional halls, statues, and incense offerings from worshippers. Walking through the complex gives a nice glimpse into the religious life and history of Guangzhou.
