★★★★★3 months agoIha e visited Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum during my short stay in Hanoi, it is closer to center of Hanoi. It is always recommend to go early to avoid long ques due to many locals and other visitors. You should not wear fancy dresses if you are intended to go inside and pay your respect to the embalmed body of late president Ho 'hi Minh. You will not be allowed to take cameras inside and need to be quiet. It is always placed with Security forces every where. At the same premise you also can visit the Museum as well but need to buy a different ticket. To cover everything you will need a half day. One pillar pagoda also can visit around same area.

★★★★★4 months agoIf you are into history and not afraid of dead bodies then it’s totally for you. The entrance to the Mausoleum is free of charge but be ready to queue, especially if you are “lucky” to come on a day when school kids are visiting, but it goes quite fast, we were done within 40 mins total. Note that it’s open till 11:30 and it’s closed on Tuesday. Moreover, you have to dress up modestly: no shorts, open sleeves, cover your legs, chest and shoulders- they will turn you off otherwise. If you wanna go to the museum or the presidential palace - you will need to buy tickets (40k vnd).
