A well documented history of Lisbon’s transport system. Worth the visit! CARRIS is the company in charge of public transport in Lisbon thus the name CARRIS Museum. I got a free ride in one of the old iconic 1930s trams which are still in use in some parts of Lisbon.

This is how all transport museums should be. Cleanly presented information with both personal & humorous stories of thr history of Carris. You then get to ride on a hertiage tram across to the depot where other trams & busses are held, before then getting to see some of the old printing press equipment. All for 4.50 euros! The gentleman driving the tram across the yard for us was so knowledgeable when we asked about the gauge of the trams, and you could see how passionate he was about the museum. Thankyou for a fantastic visit!
