A local gem!! What an interesting and complete museum experience! Located in a palace lends another layer to the journey through time as you see ancient civilization artifacts through to contemporary Portugal. A special highlight for us was the model of the city with the interactive display. A great way to spend a few rainy hours. Highly recommended!

We walked from the centre of town, just shy if an hour. But it's fun to take a look at the city and stretch the legs. Not that daunting. Price is really fair 3 euro gets you all around the museum and the sculpture garden is a top Tier surprise 😉
