This was one of three museums we went to one day in Pisa and we both enjoyed it the best. We'd been to see the Marie Rose in Portsmouth and the museum in Stockholm about their grand shop that sank on it's first voyage. These ships in Pisa however are so amazing as they are just so old and they tell you so much about life around the Mediterranean. They show the lives of ordinary sailors not on richly decorated ships designed fir kings. The stables in the museum are used to good affect showing different aspects of maritime Pisa. An amazing place.
