Amazing place to visit in Porto/Gaia! World of Wine is much more than a museum – it’s a whole cultural district with great restaurants, wine experiences and incredible views over the Douro River and the city of Porto. The exhibitions are very interactive and interesting, especially if you want to learn more about Portuguese wine, cork and local culture. The area is beautifully restored from old port wine cellars and the atmosphere is fantastic both during the day and at sunset. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Porto.

Had a great time here! Well worth a visit if you are in Porto / Gaia. It is much bigger than we expected it to be, which was great on a rainy afternoon. You get a wine tasting experience at the end of the Wine Museum which was a nice inclusion. We actually learnt a lot about the history of wine and Portuguese wines & ports in particular, the set-up & exhibits are really well displayed and very modern. We ate in one of the restaurants on the complex for lunch which was nice but slightly expensive compared to other restaurants in Porto. We visited on a weekday and it was pretty quiet which was good for exploring. Would definitely recommend a trip here!
