The Dom Luís I Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Porto. Walking across it offers breathtaking views of the Douro River, the colorful riverside, and the city skyline. It's especially beautiful at sunset and is a perfect spot for photos. A must-visit when exploring Porto!

Luís I Bridge in Porto A fairytale-like place with a breathtaking panorama over the city and the river. Crossing it offers unforgettable views, especially at sunset when the lights of Porto begin to glow. Absolutely iconic and a must-see spot!

Brilliant views but a bloody maze as a lot of the gates that are supposed to be opened are closed at certain times(random AF), would highly recommend for a romantic chill, picnic or to just get away from the craze of the centre. Amazing view points and if you make the effort and look around extensively enough will some find some gems of hidden spots. Bring some packed lunches

    Parque das Virtudes

  • Margrethe Laubera month ago

Incredible vertical, terraced garden. Do not mistake only the upper portion on Passeio das Virtudes as the park itself. This is where crowds congregate every evening to see the sunset. There are three entrances: the upper gate at R. de Azevedo de Albuquerque 41; a green gate a few meters past R. Dr. António de Sousa Macedo 29; and the lower gate at the end of Calçada das Virtudes. Note the opening hours of 9 am–6 pm! Enjoy!

One of the best sunset sightseeing spots in Porto, hands down! If you're looking for a perfect place to watch the sun go down over Duoro river and the famous Porto's bridge but with almost no tourist, you just found it. Plus, after you get bored, you can find amazing cheap, local & authentic restaurants/bars with outside seating lining the bank right next to this stop - perfect to grab a snack or beer and watch the local students living the Porto's night life.

    Miradouro das Fontainhas

I stumbled upon Palácio de Cristal while walking around and didn’t expect to find such a picturesque park right in the center of Porto. It was a lovely surprise, a huge, green, well-kept area that’s perfect for a relaxing walk. The views are stunning, with beautiful panoramic sights of the Douro River and the city, especially at sunset. The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful, and it’s the kind of place where you just want to sit and enjoy the moment. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but it doesn’t take away from the experience, this place is definitely worth visiting. I would love to come back again.
