Stunning views! Took off from our hotel to walk towards Oia but I gave up after 1 hour (halfway), would have completed it if the weather wasn’t that hot 🥵 Despite the heat, it was an amazing slow walk with my husband and we’re so immersed with the view of the Caldera Coast and what’s going on along the route. Note : it’s a lot of steps climbing and uphill walking on uneven surfaces, if you have knee problems like me, you may start to feel abit uncomfortable after a while but don’t let this stop you from exploring this area, go slow, bring water, take many stops (enjoy the view)🙂 and wear a good pair of sport shoes. It’s really worth the walk.

The view is real, and it's spectacular. You see this picture everywhere, and you wonder if it can possibly live up to the hype. It does. Finding the classic viewpoint requires a little wandering from the main path in Oia, but it's well worth it. The combination of the iconic blue domes, the whitewashed buildings, and the deep blue of the caldera is just as stunning in person. A crucial tip: Go very early in the morning (just after sunrise). We went later in the day and it was incredibly crowded, making it difficult to get a clean photo. An early visit would give you the space and light to truly appreciate the magic of this spot without the chaos.
