★★★★★5 months agoThis house is open to the public for free, and they even offer guided tours at specific times. It was built during the Japanese colonial period, so its structure is a bit different from other houses. After many years and different owners, it is now managed by the government, and part of the building is used as office space. I highly recommend visiting this place when you’re in the nearby hanok village.

★★★★★5 months agoTerrific - this was such a lovely and interesting part of the Bukchon area. The house (indeed the whole surrounding area) is incredibly so well-kept and is a beautiful reflection of how the "upper-class" residents of Seoul lived in the early 1900s. Highly recommended when in the area.
