This museum is an absolute hidden gem and a must-visit if you want to understand the history of Seoul! Unlike the massive national museums, this one focuses specifically on how the city of Seoul evolved over time. The interactive exhibits are amazing, and the absolute highlight is the massive miniature model room of the city—it is incredible to see how detailed it is from above! Plus, general admission is completely free, and they have excellent English audio guides and descriptions available. It's located right next to Gyeonghuigung Palace, so it's very easy to add to a day of sightseeing. Super clean, peaceful, and highly recommended!

I had no idea such a peaceful green space was hidden in the middle of the city. The front garden was lush, tranquil, and a wonderful place to slow down for a while. There happened to be a fun event during my visit, so I completed the activities, looked around, and even picked up a few souvenirs. This time I only explored the outdoor area, but it was enough to make me want to come back and visit the museum itself next time.
