★★★★★11 months agoI have never listened to Fado before but this museum was surprisingly very enjoyable! It was so unique and fun to see the singer's pictures and click their numbers on the audio guide to hear them singing. The short movie on Fado was intense, hearing the artists explain the emotion of their music. Highly Recommended to visit!

★★★★★a month agoThe Fado Museum is a beautiful landmark in the heart of Alfama and well worth stopping to admire, even if you don’t have time to go inside. The building is attractive and fits perfectly within the historic character of the neighbourhood. Dedicated to Portugal’s famous Fado music tradition, the museum celebrates an important part of the country’s cultural heritage. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to visit the exhibits, but the location and architecture alone made it a worthwhile stop while exploring Alfama.
